District 8 Lake County Board Candidate Bryan Gutraj first surprised incumbent Don Bauer by announcing he wanted his job. He tried to get candidate Larry Lettfblad thrown off the ballot. When you combine that with his turning down of a request by former political powerhouse and candidate Bob Depke to drop out of the race, it is clear Gutraj is committed to winning the Republican nomination and has no fear of reprisals. Democratic candidate Steve SKinner must surely be enjoying this Republican sideshow.
