Following a career in corporate finance, Bryan A. Gutraj began practicing as a public accountant in 2002.  The firm’s clients reside in over a dozen states and two foreign countries.

Mr. Gutraj is an Illinois licensed attorney and certified public accountant.  Breaking the traditional public accounting firm mold, he brings a wealth of corporate accounting and finance experience with both Fortune 500 corporations and small to mid-size businesses to their clients.

Bryan A. Gutraj, CPA brings a unique background and broad experience base to assist clients in business and accounting.

Bryan earned his Bachelor of Science from Eastern Illinois University and then joined the Financial Development Program of Baxter International. While at Baxter, Bryan worked on a variety of issues including software implementation, streamlining the AP and AR process, and assisting the operational leaders of their North American manufacturing plants in the financial reporting and budgeting needs.

Following his tenure at Baxter, Bryan Gutraj joined General Electric in Chicago with the GE Capital Railcar Services Group. As senior accountant for this subsidiary of GE Capital, Bryan was responsible for the financial planning, budgeting and accounting of GE Capital's $4 billion fixed assets.

Perhaps the most valuable experience came at Inktel Direct in which Bryan served as controller. Inktel is a midsize direct minority owned business specializing in direct mail and fulfillment. While working as their senior level finance person, Bryan stepped up and focused on operations while building the accounting and finance functions. In addition to overseeing the day to day operations of the accounting and finance departments, Bryan worked with the plant and warehouse managers to improve efficiencies and streamline work processes.

Bryan Gutraj graduated from John Marshall Law School in 2004.  After spending four years attending night school, Bryan earned his Juris Doctor.  He became a member of the Illinois Bar in 2005.

In addition to the required core classes, Bryan’s coursework included Corporations, Sales, Payment systems, and Estates.  Also, he studied European Union laws and EU business organizations at the University of Vienna (Austria).

Bryan has decided to continue his studies part-time and is pursuing a Masters in Law (LLM) in International Business and Trade Law.  This degree is expected to be conferred in 2007.

His Masters of Law coursework has included courses in Gift and Estate Tax Law, Corporate Taxation, NAFTA, International Banking, and Eastern European Law,  Bryan’s writings include Multidisciplinary Practices (MDPs), Ch 13. In his free time, Bryan enjoys traveling as he is an avid instrument-rated private pilot.  Also, he is a dedicated philanthropist fundraising and/or advising over a different not-for-profit organizations.
